A GOLDEN MISTY SUMMER MORNING

The forecast this July morning was to be mostly clear with cool temperatures and a mist hovering over the low lying areas. I thought it would be another beautiful and colorful sunrise so, I left the house wanting to photograph the beautiful wildflowers of the Park with a colorful sunrise. I knew where in the park that had an abundance of wildflowers, which was the west side and a beautiful sunrise to photograph. I reached the trailhead soon after leaving the house with camera gear in hand and it wasn't long before I started seeing the wildflowers that were in pristine condition. At this time, I noticed the low lying mist hovering over the prairie in the distance with box elder trees behind lining the banks of Eakin Creek West. The colors of the sunrise started to appear filling the sky. After spending about 45 minutes photographing the numerous wildflowers and sunrise, I moved along the trail as the sun was now above the box elder trees and noticed this incredible scene of the low lying mist being illuminated by the suns rays with an orange hue. I set up my tripod, camera, composed the misty prairie landscape scene and began photographing. What an incredible and majestic scene to have witnessed and photographed at Wildflower Park. To say it was beautiful, would somehow be an understatement. (509-516-520)
