FINDING BEAUTY ON THE PRAIRIE

Sometimes finding a scene to photograph during the colder months of the year can be a challenge. When I am not finding that scene to photograph, I try to look for more intimate subjects and capture the details like with this common milkweed stalk (ASCLEPIAS SYRIACA) and its opened seed pods still hanging on, in which the seeds have long blown away onto the prairie. The lighting had been very good this early spring morning in Northern Illinois and I enjoyed finding the best composition and photographing this common milkweed plant (ASCLEPIAS SYRIACA).
