ILLUMINATING THE PRAIRIE

Overnight we had 2-3 inches of snow and the forecast for this morning was to be sunny with a few clouds, so I decided to brave the frigid -18F temperature to catch this sunrise in the park. Combining the recent snowfall and the sunshine predicted, I set out to photograph the sunrise. As I was trekking along, I was thinking where I would photograph the sunrise and thought that the bridge over a frozen South Fork Kishwaukee River would be a good place to set up the tripod. I was almost to the bridge when the sunlight began illuminating the prairie and the oak trees in the distance. 1/26/2019 (528-35)
